Dental Implant

What are dental implants?

Dental implants are titanium (metal) posts that are surgically placed in the jawbone beneath your gums to replace tooth roots.

How do dental implants work?

Implants fuse to your jawbone producing better support for crowns, dentures or bridges. Major benefits for denture wearers includes improved comfort, better stability and the ability to better enunciate words. Dental implants look and feel like your own teeth. You will experience improved self esteem by getting your smile back. Implants are very durable and will last for many years if taken care of properly.

Can anyone get dental implants?

In most cases, healthy individuals can be considered for implants. Patients need healthy gums and adequate bone to hold the implant firmly. The patient must be committed to good oral hygiene and regular 6 month checkups.
